Saint James
Featured in the Playroom
Founded in 1889 in Normandy, Saint James began by outfitting local fishermen in sturdy wool sweaters built to brave the rough conditions or the northern Atlantic sea. Next came the now-iconic marinière, first issued as part of the French naval uniform, it soon made its way from utilitarian essential to effortless classic. From dockside to café terrace, the striped shirt became the unofficial uniform of coastal France. Anchored in tradition, Saint James continues to sail through time with unmistakable French style and time-honored quality.
