Art on Display: PERFECT TIMING by Grimanesa Amorós
This winter season, Printemps New York unveils an exciting new collaboration with Grimanesa Amorós, internationally renowned light sculpture artist known for her immersive installations exploring light, space, and perception.
The interactive installation, PERFECT TIMING, upholds Amorós’s ethos of composing light like music, shaping each sequence “note by note,” in her New York studio. The installation responds to the building’s architectural lines and Printemps Parisian heritage, bringing together history and urban energy.
The artwork universally transforms light and time into signals of language. The lights are a measure of time itself, a dance of pause and motion. Clients may be seen waiting with the signature Printemps shopping bag, hailing a yellow cab, or stopping at a red light, which is a vivid cycle of color that mirrors New York's vibrant atmosphere.
“Light connects us. PERFECT TIMING brings Paris and New York into conversation through rhythm, architecture, and anticipation,” says Amorós.

Printemps New York is pleased to participate in New York Restaurant Week, inviting guests to experience two of our signature dining destinations—Maison Passerelle and The Red Room Bar—from January 20 through February 12. Thoughtfully crafted prix fixe menus showcase each restaurant’s distinct point of view, blending French inspiration with seasonal ingredients and contemporary flair.
